About Our Scholarship

The Pillars of Excellence Freshman Scholarship, presented by the Pi Kappa Alpha (PIKE) fraternity at Southeast Missouri State University, is awarded annually to an exceptional first-year student who exemplifies the four foundational values of our brotherhood: Scholars, Leaders, Athletes, and Gentlemen.

Our goal is to recognize and reward those who demonstrate well-rounded excellence both inside and outside the classroom—from academic achievement and campus involvement to athletic commitment and respectful, gentlemanly conduct.

Whether you're a student leader, a varsity athlete, a dedicated scholar, or someone who leads by example in your community, we want to support your journey.

Eligibility Criteria

Incoming male freshman at Southeast Missouri State University
Demonstrated excellence in at least two of the following areas: academics, leadership, athletics, and community involvement
No affiliation or intention to join PIKE is required

How Do I Apply?

All applications must be submitted electronically through the link provided by the August 29th (6pm CST) deadline.
The application must be filled out entirely before submitting.
Please be thorough - the more information provided, the better we get to know you.

How Much is Awarded & When?

Each scholarship is valued at $500.
Each Fall semester we award two (2) scholarships.
Applications are due August 29th at 6pm CST.
The recipients of the scholarship will be notified by September 15.
